Luzon is also an ideal place for those who love the waters. One may opt to thread the dive resorts for a water adventure filled day. La Union in the north is a popular surfing destination in the Philippines. Apart from surfing, scuba diving and snorkeling are other options for an enjoyable trip in Luzon especially in the outlying islands of Anilao, Ligpo, Bonito, Sombrero and Maricaban in Batangas in the south.
Subic Bay in Central Luzon host of some of the country's remaining virgin forests and a sanctuary for wild animals. There you can find Ocean Adventure, South East Asia's only open marine water parks with false whales, dolphins and sea lions shows. Adjacent nearby is Zoobic Safari which will amuse everyone in a wild African safari adventure.
On the other side of Luzon, an island extends across the South China Sea towards the Philippines last frontier -Palawan. There you can explore the subterranean caverns of St. Paul river which is 8km long (4km navigable by boat), dive the depths of Tubbatha marine reserve or go on an African safari in the island of Calauit.
Luzon is definitely a marvellous place to visit.
